Anybody got one of these. I've seen them advertised in the mags and am tempted.

Any thoughts?

Expensive for what it is really.

If they said 50.00 maybe but almost a hun?

Rather just put a sheet in the car and take to the petrol station.

    Sorry seen this

    Pros:
Your bike is clean to put in your car although it will be pretty wet unless you wait a while.
Once home you only have to oil the chain, I’m always too tired to bother with the bike at this point.
Your bike is ready for maintenance (rather than ready for washing with the mud dried on) at the next opportunity.

    Cons:
    It’s heavy.
It’s no power jet wash, more of a small hose.
Extra time taken in the car park instead of setting off home.
For those transporting bikes on the outside of their vehicle salt transferred to your bike on the journey home in the Winter causes corrosion. (If you wash when you get home this salt is removed).

Buy a bike bag instead and wash your bike when you get home. We got a hot water tap fitted to our outside wall and it cleans bikes VERY quickly, hardly any agitation is required by brushing etc.
  • I've got one of these, was originally looking to get one at full price, but spotted a thread on here a while back which stated that Halfrods wern't able to shift all thier stock and had discontinued the line - meant they were going for £25! quick phone call round local stores and managed to get one at this price. Really please with it - search for the thread the product code you need to ring up and get them to search is in there.

    Hope this helps :D
  • Infact, here is the thread;

I think I'm going to have to get one of these. I live in a flat and hiking buckets of water up and down in the lift and cleaning my bike without a hose is an absolute nightmare!

I read the Halfords thread a few weeks ago and rushed straight to my local store, but no joy unfortunately

I managed to get one for £25 from halfrauds and only used it once and it was ideal for washing the bikes but for £25 you cant realy go wrong

they are fantastic .halfords have very few lt of the £25.00 dirtworkors so yu will have to ask & ask & ask again in store as they are not even aware they sell them.

ask them to go in the back & have a rumage.
canada16 they are especially usefull for long weekends biking away .ie the ile of mann last year .
