Specialised P2 2008 Mountain Bike

ok, ive just got my lbs to order in the specialised p2 2008 mountain bike. ill use it for dirt jumping and some downhill.
just wondering what everyones views are on it?
my friend said it has a pretty decent pair of forks on it for the price tag.
the specs seemed to have no downsides but im no mtb expert:)
