Hi, I'm looking for a full suspension bike mainly for riding trails mostly at dalby. I am looking at the commencal meta 5.5.2 which u can get for £1670. Any thoughts on this bike, any one own one or any suggestions for other bikes.
I already own a focus raven hardtail so I have a bike for xc use when i need it.

Cheers :D:)

I just ordered the Merlin Custom Meta 5 with a few upgrades. IMO better spec for less money. Its very bright green so is a bit like marmite, i loved it, some may hate it.

Also consider the UK spec A bit more money and not as well specced as the Merlin, but has a 15mm Fox fork for the Fox whores amongst us :D

    Hi,

The 5.5.2 is a fantastic bike, I am always looking for excuses to get out and ride it
The .2 comes in white, the .1 comes in green and the 2009 UK spec is black and green this year.
Merlin do it for a fantastic price, but also check to see if your local bike shop does a price match - most will, so you will end up getting the bike you want all set up for you

  • Hi, I have the 2009 5.5.2 (White and Green) and although no expert it makes you feel like one. The only slight criticism is that it is quite heavy but still a very capable climer. The downhills are simply mind blowing and the bike laps up what ever you can throw at it. Like the previous poster I am always looking for excuses to ride it.

Sounds like you have a great price too.

Go for it, you won't regret it!
