Not sure of that exact model but i recently bought an Axiom dual function handpump and co2 pump and it was dog-sh1t! Really cheap and flimsy feeling. It was also broken when it arrived so i sent it back and got a refund luckily (after realising it was broken when trying to mend a puncture out in the middle of a trail).0

Unless I'm mistaken, and I very rarely am, that pump doesn't have a pressure gauge on it.
How the hell are you meant to set a shock up with no pressure gauge?

Yeh it might be hard going trying to reach 300psi with a hand pump.
Just thought it would be cheaper than buying both.
Ah true did not even notice that.
When I buy a pump, what PSI do I need for front and rear?
I commute then light xc on weekend.
Thanks0 -
Spend money on a decent shock pump as it's important to get your shock set right.
I have a Halfords Bikehut one which cost £20 and is pretty good. It's exactly the same as the Manitou and Fox ones so it's probably a generic one that they just change the branding on.

As for tyre pumps, well if you can afford a track pump then get one, they're much better than faffing around with a little hand pump, but you can't take them with you on a ride.

Try running your tyres at around 35psi to start with then go up or down a few psi depending on the terrain you'll be covering, i.e. up a few if it's smooth hard packed trail to get some speed, or down a few for rough terrain or mud to get some grip, but don't go too far or you'll get pinch punctures when you bottom out the tyre.
MTB specific tyres on the road really aren't very good. They have high rolling resistance and wear out really fast on tarmac.
I'd consider trying to get a cheap set of used wheels on ebay and sticking road tyres on them for commuting then sticking your off road wheels back on at the weekend, but this might end up being expensive if you have disc brakes as you'd need a 2nd set of discs.

Hey
Thanks for that, I got a track pump, just looking for something to hold just in case of a flat, as Right now I dont carry spare tubes or pump, and twice I have had a puncture and had nothing on me.
Looking at the lezyne hand pump and will get a proper shock pump.
They are only 19.95 at the fox shop in newport I think.0 -
To be honest, any wee hand pump that you can fit in your pack will do the job.
Carry that and a spare tube and you're sorted.

Oh ps.
Yes got a full suss, with disc brakes, so would be very expensive as I am a weight wennie.
I dont mind buying tyres, you can get them quite cheap these days.0 -
