HelloI
I am thinking of buying a Shimano XTR front Derailleur to mach up with my rear, but there are 2 models one a 31.8 Dual TP-BP and the other is a 34.9 Dual TP-BP?? :? Does anyone know what they mean and which one I should go for? I have a Gary Fisher Hifo Pro.
Also it says that its a Shimano XTR Front Derailleur Conventional M961 is there much difference between this and the Shimano XTR Front Derailleur Conventional M971?
Thanks

At the risk of being thick, what am I looking for as I have the specs off the fisher website but I can't see anything that is even remotley like what I need???
Thanks0 -
I just had a look myself, and can't see what it lists either.
If you have vernier calipers, measure the frame diameter just above the mech.
To be honest, most front mechs are 34.9 and use spacers for the different sizes!0 -
I had measured the circumference at 11cm ish it was a bit dark in the shed. so as it only roungh measurement it must mean that your right at 34.9!!
Oh well it was down to £24.00 in CRC.com so I was hoping to grab a bargain there!!
Thanks for your help0
