going away in the summer! planning ahead a bit i know but has anyone been up there or know of any good routes in the beacons area? il be staying near sunnybridge in brecon! cheers

my bad i ment it is near sennybridge in the north of the brecon becons national park!

Well you'll be nr breacon so you where right first time around. Plenty of hills around there the pre roman pass to breacon is spectacular best to do it to breacon though as lots of walkers on the way to pen y fan.

I bought the route pack and it gives detailed directions and marked maps which include routes that go through/from Sennybridge. I've done most of these routes and would say that the red ones (and black if you're fit) are ideal for a days riding with plenty of time to stop for breaks (pub lunch and a pint in my case).
The route cards are sufficient by themselves but I wouldn't recommend going out without an OS map, just in case, and that way you can make up our own routes too.

It's great biking round that area.
