Change of plan

Right guys i've had to change my plans. :-(
Due to work situation i'm not gonna blow £600 on a bike but go half way.
I was gonna get the Rockhopper Disc Comp
Now thinking about the Hardrock Sport or poss Disc version.
There's only £50 difference in it.
But if I spend the extra £50 I can upgrade easier to hyro brakes at a later stage?
What do you reckon?
Thanks and sorry for all these newbie questions.

Go for a Rockhopper non-disc 08 from http://www.edinburghbicycle.com for £339. A better specced bike than the Hardrock, and the wheels and frame are disc-ready, so you can easily upgrade at a later date.
(This is assuming you need a 17" or 19" frame. If not, it's available for £349 elsewhere in more sizes)Boardman Road Comp '08

If set on a Spesh Hopper or HR, the above deal is a no brainer!0

Thanks guys.
I don't really fancy the red.
How about this?

Then a set of these?

Thanks Andy

Looks like a good choice.
....but I thought you were looking at spending half of the original £600!?
Easily done, isn't it!?Boardman Road Comp '08

I think that's worth paying for the silver If I'd been able to flog my carrera I'd have had an 08 rockhopper, and I did manage to fool myself into thinking that the red and white is nice. But it's not is it.
TBH, don't jump into the brake upgrade, it's good to have the option but vs can still cut it in most conditions.Uncompromising extremist0 -
Cheers guys.
I think i'll phone Evans tomorrow and get my deposit back.
The rockhopper is a much better spec'd bike compared to the hardrock.

Yes Andy I know.
I've been in the game long enough now to know better.
Just a little mod, then another one, before you know it you've spent a small fortune.
Thanks again

Well just ordered my bike. :-)
Rockhopper 08 V Brake
£349 from Hargrove Cycles
They gave me an option of upgrading to Shimano disc brakes for £100 but unfortunatelly i just can't stretch to that at the mo.
They've told me that it's the same bike as the disc version so at a later stage I can get a set and put them on without changing wheels or hubs etc.
just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their input.
