Torsional stiffness...? Scales vs Taurine

Intetrested in Scale 10, 30 frames and Team Taurine.
Anyone got views on the torsional stiffness of them, as XC riders go im a bit of a unit and get a fair bit of flex on burly aluminium frames. Love the write ups all of these frames get but would be swayed by stiffness since theyre all good XC weights neway.
Also if anyone else got any pearls they know are XC light, go uphill gr8, and stiff as, drop me a line
I know its probably the holy grail and as frames get lighter guess the general tendancy is for decreased torsional rigidity but which bike gets it bang on...?

I don't know the answer but I remember reading in a magazine once that the large Scale was noticibly more flexy than the medium Scale. I would try to get a test ride on both bikes and search around for German magazine articles because they seem to review things like that.0

How about a Zaskar carbon? Are designed to be a tougher carbon frame.0

If its not rude to ask??..
Do you have an actual weight for the frame? (Did they get heavier?)*Rock Lobster Team Tig SL (22lb 14oz)

The M Team frame is quoted as 2.64lbs.
My M Team frame, with headset cups, seat collar and QR and all bolts is about 1400g. So more than claimed, but they did stiffen the frame further after the first release.0 -

To be honest I'm not sure what all the bits weight? (And then, what bits are included in other quoted weights?!..)
But I guess that doesn't really matter to you, its a carbon Zaskar! 8)

Usually quoted frame weights are absolutely bare, no bottle bolts, and sometimes even unpainted!0

Fancy putting a guesstimate weight on the frame you had?, minus the bits n bobs.
Just out of curiosity and as a comparison to the Scale or Taurine? Which I assume wouldn't be as stiff?
Apologies to OP re hijack(?)

I would say it was 3lbs, or just under.0

How much weight do you save with a carbon frame over an aluminium frame?
Spec Stumpy M5 - to say S-works Stumpy Carbon?0 -
Sometimes none at all! Depends what the frame designer wants - he may keep the weight the same and increase stiffness/strength.0

To be honest, my scale is just about right, not as harsh as some alu frames i've ridden, but not as springy as steel. They are pretty stiff for saying they weigh nothing, my frame when bare (bar 2xsets of bottle cage bolts) was about 980g (medium).
Cannot compare to the 'dale, but when wringing it's neck the scale remains stiff, just don't squeeze the frame between thumb and forefinger - I did, and it scared me!Scott Scale Custom
