Hi,

I have an 08 Rockhopper Pro frame which came with forks in 80 or 100mm travel forks. I need to get a new pair of forks and I am wondering if 100-140mm adjustable forks will be ok? I can get a sweet deal on a Marzocchi XC700.

Alternatively, I can pay $60 more and get 2008 Rock Shox Reba SL (no lockout!) or $50 more and get the 2009 Recon Race Solo (lockout). I have seen a thread where people have been having a lot of problems with the 08 air Rock Shox leaking, which is why I would prefer the Marzocchi.

Thanks.

keep at 100mm or if you have to 120mm MAX and even then it will feel barge like.

The Reba does have a lock out and is the bext XC fork for its price. Rock Shox reliability is MUCH better than Marzocchi. I would not go over 100mm travel

    "85mm travel" ?!

No such beast exists on the 2008 catalog - only 80mm and 100mm. Wtf?

OE forks can come with what ever set up the bike company wants.

    also CRC can do typos.
