Remember this mob? Said to be courting Bettini earlier this year.

Well, they failed to get a license due to not being able to come up with the money for the UCI. This leaves Van Huffel, Bertaglioli, Halgand, and Kuyckx without a job for 2009.

I'm sure a few more will fold this year.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

And Sergio Pardilla (remember this name, he is going to be the best spanish climber in a few years)
If you like Flandes, Roubaix or Eroica, you would like GP Canal de Castilla, www.gpcanaldecastilla.com

This is why some of the Pro Tour concepts were essential, to post wage guarantees for riders and to have some minimum standards for sponsors and team managers alike. The "you must ride every race" concept was stupid.

I'd like the UCI to employ an accountant who is charged with reviewing all Pro Tour and Continental Teams, to check their funds and the budgets in place, to make sure the team is serious and not some flaky outfit of a dodgy DS.
