Sorry bit of a long one this.......

Right got back from the Inlaws today.
Landed in Luton to find Snow. Yipee :-)
Went to my local bike shop to find they'd ordered 2 bikes in for me to test ride.
GT Avlanche 1.0 disc & Trek 6300.
GT should be in by end of week, can't give me an e.t.a on the Trek?

Em....So I drove a little bit further to another shop.
Very helpfull guy in there said take them out for a spin.
I took out 4 bikes.

Specilized Rockhopper Disc 19" (09)
Scott Aspect 19" (09)
Trek 6300 18.5" (09)
& GT avlanche 1.0 Disc 19" (08)
We both knew these frames were all a bit big but it was just tesing the bike and equip really.

The 17" forms are gonna be the way forward.

I really liked the Trek & Rockhopper.

Not a fan of the Scott and didn't realy think much of the GT.
Has the 08 changed much from the 09?

They can't get the Trek so I went for the rockhopper instead. Still a very nice bike.
Then I realised the Rockhopper I tested was a Comp. DOH!
A bit different, both in price & spec.
I can't stretch to that.
So I thought ok just the Disc and not the Comp will do.
Got home and checked their website.
They price match.
So I found a Comp for £100 less elsewhere and phoned them back.
They said should be ok, just bring in a print out tomorrow.
They've cancelled the Disc & ordered a comp for me.

So to Sum up, I'm getting a Rockhopper Disc comp (09) for £582 instead of £685.
Providing they accept the print out from the other site.
If not i'll get it over the net.
Thanks for reading my very long post.
A very good experience from the bike shop.
Lets see how it turns out.

My other bike has an Engine....
