Seal problem on Float R rear shock?

I'm not sure if what I have is actually a problem...
I've had my Heckler now for a couple of months, done a fair bit on it, but I'd say no more than 150 miles.
I'm fairly heavy at 17.5 stone and run the shock around 240-250 which feels about right. I've not bottomed it out yet and haven't done any loony stuff on it.
The (non)issue I have is than when there's a small release of pressue when undoing the pump after a pre-ride check it seems a tiny little bit of oil is fired out as well. Is this normal, or am I looking at a seal failure? Does the oil live in the same chamber as the air? As far as everything else goes all looks and works fine, it's not like I've blown it up and all the pressure has gone.

Mine does the same, as do my forks.
I think its just the lubricating oil in the air chamber and nothing to worry about!

Perfectly normal. Unless your pump has a bleed-off feature you'll never stop it from doing this. Unless you visit www.reset-racing.com and get one of their AirPort Evo bleed valves.0

Thanks chaps. Didn't fancy a fight with the bike shop about warranties whilst I couldn't ride.0
