I mentioned in another thread that I have just returned to Mountain Biking after a couple of years off.....Last year too, i broke my left arm (11 screws and 2 plates), i am seiriously now thinking of arm protection as i am worried about hitting it.Any recommendations please. it is more for forearm protection.I have never bothered with any type of armour before but now i feel i must be more careful as i am self employed and need to take it a bit easier in the saddle so to speak.

Thanx in advance.

I've used 661 Elbow/Forearm armor for a few years now. Helped me out with a few arm/tree interactions.

It's only on the very warmest sunniest days it's too warm, I think the last one with 2006.

You may find that hard-shell armour such as RaceFace or Dainese may be too much for general riding.

That said I have RaceFace Rally FR forearm/elbow armour for trail-centre use, but I never wear it for XC riding although I do sometimes wear my knee/shins, especially if it's really cold or the route is going to be pretty rocky.
