Any good?
Following my purchase of their SPXC3 Wheelset: http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/ ... lset-32181
I am worried they won't work with my Avid Juicy 5SLs... Yep I should have checked first, but they havent arrived yet so I could always cancel the order....
However, I have been looking at the Hope site, and reveiws etc, and saw the Mini X2 Pro systems, how good are they compared to the Avid Juicy 5?
Whats the difference between the X2 and X2 Pro?

Ahh Webby, you and I are in very similar places and got our wheels from the same place, Stiff. The only difference is I went for the Hope Pro 3 also on 4.2 rims but with 32 spokes.. I've just started a topic on 'what brakes' I too was looking at the X2 but am now deciding on Juicy 7's, Elixir CR or XT... From reading through yoru threads we both have a few 'issues' shall I say!!0

I asked supersonic and he reckons they will be fine as the rotors are not the floating type - am gonna wait and see what happens when on the bike - if no good - Hope X2 Pros0

the new x2 pros use the old mono mini pro levers.
I have the mono mini ones and for xc they are fine but I'd really like a 4pot for the front.
I know the new XCs do bite harder than the monos but I don't know if this is down to the new caliper or the new levers, or a combination of both!

Just confirmed with Hope that they WILL work with Avids as they are not floating rotors.

The Juicys will work with my new wheels - but the X2 Pro do look lush with their Titanium and Carbon Fibre....
And a big weight saving too.....
If only somewhere sold them without the rotors0 -
Could always sell the rotors on afterwards....
Formular R1s look very nice, as do the Hayes Stroker Gram."Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0 -
Have tried selling rotors on before - have a set of G2 Cleansweep 160mms in the classififeds, no one seems interested
The Hope Pros are like 300g :O0 -
R1s are even less!"Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

Try leisure lakes. When I bought my bike I upgraded the rotors and they bought the origanls back off me at full retail price and next time I went in they were in the hope display cabinet0
