Polar CS2000CAD or Garmin Edge 205?

Hi - I have the Garmin already but have not been overly impressed with it. It doesn't seem to give very accurate data re: speed or distance traveled and I've only really made use of the Sat Nav once. I do some pretty longish weekend rides now where I am thinking the Garmin may come into it's own but I think I may just flog it and get the Polar because it also had cadence and HR. Am I missing any obvious benefit to having both or in keeping hold of the Garmin (aside from its Sat Nav capability??

Cheers

  • I have the edge 305 and I must say that I find it very accurate. In fact I was reading an article which stated that the speed sensor on a sat nav was more accurate than a normal magnetic speed sensor. Whether that submission / statement is true is a moot point unless a physician can provide the evidence.

In whole though I love my 305 and can't imagine life without one. The amount of data available to view is fantastic. Then after a ride, I upload my data to sport tracks and life gets even better! Am I sad? Probably so but I love statistics!
