Ok So I have a couple of cheapo tesco front lights and want something better, For the time being my budget is a mere 30 quid:
I have looked on Fleebay and found the following:
Cateye EL220
Blackburn Quadrant ( I have the Mars 3.0 rear )
SMART BSPOKE 1 WATT
What would you experts suggest out of those, Or feel free to throw me a curve ball and add something else into the mix.
Cheers

worth bearing in mind with the fenix's though is the extra cost of the mounting block, usually another £5 or so. they are fantastic lights but if you are fixed with the budget then they might not be quite what you are after.0

Cateye EL220 is ok as a back up or as a permanent flasher on the road but its not the greatest on unlit pathways, can't help with the others sorry.0

If you are on a very tight budget, the Tesco LED torches are said to be good, or a good Fenix subsitude is this one from Dealextreme, costs $20, comes from Hong Kong, they are a very good dealer and put any problems right, just delivery takes 8 or 10 days. It is the nearest you'll get to Fenix performance under £30, it needs a Lockblock mount (£7) and rechargeable NiMH AA batteries (£4.95 from Vapextech).
The Cateye will be a waste of time for seeing where you are going.0
