Mystery mudguard noise
I fitted a pair of mudguards to my winter hack this afternoon and had difficilty tracking down a subsequent "clicking" sound. I checked all the stays to ensure they were clear of the tyre, was satisfied that they were, but the noise persisted.
After 30 minutes of head scratching, I discovered that the little moulding nubs on the tyre were touching the stays - picked them off and problem solved!
Would never have thought that the nubs could create quite such a noise. Hey-ho, live and learn :?
