That little screw that tightens down your saddle
ya know the one with a space for you to insert your hex shaped allen key to tighten it up, well.................ive been looking for one and bike shops dont sell them as a seperate, apparently they only come sold with the stem the seat is mounted upon.
any of you lot know where these lil ole thangs can be purchased ?

You will probably be looking for a 'socket head button screw', and i think you can buy just an individual bolt.
Or if you have a local B&Q or diy store pop down there.
I assume you have one at hand and just need a second?
If so you should be able to compare quite easily with what's on the site in the link.

If you have a Thomson seatpost they are easy to come by:

I would urge caution in using any bolt not specifically made for whatever post it
is that you're trying to fix. Some, not all, are shaped for certain posts and using "just any old bolt that seems to fit" could result in things not working the way they should.
Not saying you can't find the right one in a bolt catalog. If the local bike shop cannot help,
I would suggest contacting the seat post manufacturer. I've done this with one company(after I rounded one out). They fixed me right up.

guys the bike is a trek 1000 racer and its a carbon stem that my saddle sits atop , is this a specific bolt or should it be easy enough to get a spare ?

that looks pretty much like them, 11 quid for 2 bolts is a bit steep would you say ?
