  • Finally, a proper picture.
Truly a shocker. Columbia presents it's new "6 pack" kit.

Meanwhile, it's spot the difference with Cofidis:-

Yes that Columbia team kit is awful, looks like it was heavily Scott influenced. I rather liked last years kit, simple is best IMHO.

Interesting that the Cervelo kit also has 'set-in' sleeves - very retro but classic in black too, should prove popular with the punters, anybody got some full-length pics?

Checkout our website for our own retro inspired YOGi kit - very exclusive.

The 'artwork' - I'm being generous - gracing the kit of the Columbia team is truly grim . Road cycling seems to specialize in producing the rottennest graphic work to adorn the human form and the Columbia kit stands out as spectacularly crap .

Perhaps it was a ' ..bosses untalented son / daughter ' scenario that came up with it .

Poor Cav , no wonder he and the rest look sullen . :? Pity the poor lad having to ride the best years of his life looking conspicuously dull .

Cofidis's kit although dull , is , by current standards , not half bad .

cervelo's is apparently a skinsuit front but with pockets on the back like a normal jersey.

hopefully cav will be wearin some leaders/nationals jersey to cover up the kit
if you read what bob stapleton says about it on cyclingnews team presentation he says something like the yellow is to represent winning and the white transparency in sport

Crikey, who's the Sideshow Bob lookalike in the middle? I thought Wiggo said you couldn't have crazy hair in French teams!

    (Edit: I looked it up)

So far the only articles about them I've seen regarding 2009 were on their site http://www.qsi-cycling.com/eng/home.php and judging by the picture on the latest news article it looks the same as last year, or they are yet to present it that is?

Also Caisse d'Epargne's site is saying their new website is going live on the 28th January and I guess that means any new kit will be presented around a similar time http://www.cyclisme-caisse-epargne.fr/

Gah, South Australia is easily the worst kit out there - at least colour-wise. Columbia this year is maybe even worse. Last season's was great!

Saxo did look a little better with the red of ITfactory on it so I hope they find another sponsor to jazz up the jersey.

As for Lance, black socks... tut tut.

He's a multi TDF winner an ex world champ. He's entitled to wear black socks if he wants to. He doesn't have to answer to the peloton fashion police  .

There's nothing wrong with black socks for cycling. :P

How can you say that? It's great! The idea surely is so the riders can be spotted in the peloton. If every team wears blue you have to try and see the number (if you can't pick them by the way they ride). Who care about socks - white shorts are a definite disaster.

  • That Saxo Bank one is a shocker :!:
  • Shame Credit Agricole is no more - mind you those green shorts always remind me of the Jolly green giant sweetcorn advert. I'll have to invest in something else to pose in.

I quite like that one. I hope they get invited to the Giro too, they're always good value in the Vuelta.

Quite a few monstrosities this year. I just can't wait to see Columbia and Milram all in skinsuits for a TTT. That'll be the funniest day of the Tour for sure.

^ Worst one yet. More blue.

Also, if you're paying vast sums of money to sponsor a cycling team, it kinda makes to write your company's name somewhere you can see it. Trying to spot "Fuji" on that jersey is like doing one of those magic eye puzzles.

Yep - They'll make Super Mario's famous leopard skinsuit 'almost' appear normal!

I'd wear the Milram jersey. If it didn't have Milram written all over it... What's wrong with it?
Note: the above post is an opinion and not fact. It might be a lie.
