I'm looking for some people to ride with, as well as people with a fairly good knowledge of how to fix up a bike who would be availible to help me put a few new parts on my bike such as deraileur and chainset.

I have no idea what i'm doing and once I get the parts, i'd rather not pay OTA to get them put on, but rather would like to learn how to fix bikes for the future.

Thanks,
Sean

Go for a ride with Cambridge CC. They have slow, medium and fast groups so you'll be fine.

  • I've checked that out already, they ride on Sundays which is one of the few days a week that I work.

There is a ride tuesday mornings if this would suit, i sometimes ride with them. They are a lovely bunch of sociable riders, normally do about 50 miles with a cafe stop. They meet just up the round from addenbrooks at 9 AM (i am fairly sure they ride through the winter, although i imagine if its very icy etc... they may call the ride off). I'm sure there is someone in this group that would be more than happy to answer some of your questions.

    Hi Sean,

Where abouts in Cambridge are you? I regulary ride on my own because of shift work etc. My knowlegde of fixing up bikes is basic but am happy to ride with anyone midweek daytime etc. I'm 5 miles west of Cambridge in Hardwick. Chirs
