WHAT Disc Brake

Apologies if I am repeating a thread. I had a good look but couldn't find one which really answered my question.
I am looking for a set of new Disc brakes. I currently have a Hope mono mini on the rear of my On-one Ti 456, and Mono M4 on the front. However I am fed up with the lack of power, temperamental nature and bending discs of the hope brakes. Even with a 200mm front rotor i find the power insufficient and fade a big problem.
I don't really have a budget, no more that £400 for front and back. I will spend what i need to to get a decent set of brakes. I ride mostly trail, and just want something powerful and reliable.
My choices at the:
Formula The Ones
Avid Elixirs
Hayes Stroker Trails
I also saw the recent review of Hope's new Tech X2's and they are sounding good, but am a little reluctant to go back Hopes way after my less that positive experience.
Any help is much appreciated.
I am currently leaning towards the formulas, 180F, 160R, due to the masses of great reviews they have been receiving.
