What's better?
Dart 3 from Trek 6300 (09)
Tora 302 from Rockhopper disc (08)
SR Mag 32 from Avalance disc 1.0 (09)
The Trek is £573
The Rockhopper is £528
The Avalance is £525.
Thanks in advance

Tora is a good fork, darts are crap and i'm never riden a sr mag so I couldn't comment.
But I would very much recomend the rockhopper as it is a lovely bike to ride and it looks good to0 -
ToraIt's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

You guys are killing me here :-)
I think i'm getting closer to the one then you go and change it again.
So I think now it's gonna be one of these 2:-

or

If it were your money what you get?

Only thing with the Tora 302's which i have is it developed a very annoying knocking sound which is only bareable with the rebound ajusted which according to SRAM is normal as it is with the majority of Rockshox forks, anyone else had this problem.0

The Avalanche, Rochopper or the Karma.
I must see them in flesh then I'll decide wich one of those three.0 -
i had an 07 fury and i no a couple of guys who have the 08, there really nice bikes to ride and the 08 looks good to. They have great spec for the price and are very capable of all your off road needs.0
-
SR mags are really bad0
-
Nah, they are a good fork! Better than Darts and the XCRs.0
-
Right so come on then guys out of these what would you go for:-
Avalanche

I've got the Rockhopper 08 with the Tora fork and I can't praise it enough. Superb handling, climbs really well and the groupset also performs incredibly, even when caked in mud. I was so impressed with Specialized that I've just bought the 2009 Allez road bike and I'm now saving up for a Pitch Pro. I'd been a Trek man for years beforehand.0
-
Will you be testing any, or at least going to look at them?0
-
Yeah def.
I'm very near to Triton so I can see the Avalanche & trek.
Halfords isn't far so I can test the Aggressor.
I can go to Evans to see the Caldera and Rockhopper.
The only one I can't is the BeOne
Is it just a case of asking the shop to go up and down the road on it?
I'm sorry for the stupid questions.
It's just that i'm not really near to any tracks to actually really test them.
Thanks Sonic

Any riding on it is better than none, will at least give you a chance to get the right size. Some bikes just feel 'wrong'. Just ask! If they don't at least let you ride around the car park, walk out.0
-
Thanks for the advice fella.
So should I test all of them?
Or are there bikes on the list you wouldn't bother with?

The more the better, but you don't want to confuse things! If I had to I would drop the Trek and BeOne.0
-
Thanks mate.
I'll let you know how I get on.
