Hi All,
Can anyone source a black coloured Specialized Pitch Comp 2009????
I personally hate the blue and the anodised brown colours of last year. The leftovers of which appear to be sold off in the UK this year.
US and European countries have 2009 Specialized Pitch Comp in the new colours of Black or Red.
This website based in Denmark from what I can tell sells to the UK http://www.biker-boarder.de/shopware/_detail_2984.html (click on english) and offers free shipping to the UK.
Are there any helpful Specialized Reps or Specialized Dealers out there that can get me one of these in the black colour in the UK please, please, please?

I love the brown of the Pro. I think they did an Enduro in the same brown, not sure.
The blue of the Comp is also lovely. Also dig the white Pikes. It's a shame I don't dig the lack of motion control in the forks or the wimp-ass awful rear shock of the Comp or I would have bought that one as well as the Pro just to make her pretty with white Stroker Trail brakes and white Halo Freedom wheels.
I reckon you're best bet would be to find out who has one in France and then go over by tunnel or ferry, and bring it back in the back of your car along with some wine and cheese. No VAT will be charged cos we are EU members. This is going to add a few quid to the bill, but wouldn't it be exciting?0 -
But if you buy from France, won't it be left hand drive?Boardman Road Comp '08

no but it would come with a basket and garlic hanging from the handlebars!0

The money I will save by opting for a Specialized Pitch Comp I intend to spend on upgrading to a Fox RP23 Rear Shock from Mojo. I was thinking of getting a Fox DHX Air Shock like the ones fitted to Norco FluidLT but Mojo sales staff have persuaded me the weight and price saving by getting the RP23 instead would be a better choice. Both shocks were in stock just before Christmas when I enquired (http://www.mojo.co.uk/) . Mojo would supply all the bushes, etc. required and were really helpful.
I have a 2008 fox Van 36 fork lying around which I was thinking of fitting too. The Fox Van 36 is very similiar in weight and would give me a little more fork travel. I was toying with the idea of getting a Rockshox Revelation or Fox 36 Float fork. Either of which fork, would be even lighter and would bring the whole bike in at just under 30lbs. A full Shimano XT or XTR groupset would also shave some more weight off.0
