I got a set of Hayes Stroker Carbons for Christmas, but the rear hose is not long enough for my frame. I need a replacement hose which is 150cm or as close as possible. (the one it came with is 135cm)

Can anyone advise me on what replacement hose to go for? Hope or Goodrich braided, or regular? I've not changed hoses before, so the easier the better.

  • Goodridge braided hoses are good, but paying the extra money over a normal hose is up to, but I don't see that much difference. Hayes hoses are quite expensive I think, I had some HFX-9's that needed a new hose and I think they were about £20ish and Goodridge are around £25-£30. If your paying £5 more for a braided line then its worth it, but if its £15 then it depends how big your wallet is.
