Merlin Malt

Who's got one then? Looking at the Malt 1 09 thats on the site just now, with SLX throughout and Recons. £646 in the sale.
Ive got the money, it seems like the hassle free option on a very well spec'd and reviewed bike. Just want some general feedback and little help on sizing e.g. is it particularly cramped in size etc.
I'm 5' 11"
Inside leg is roughly 33 inches
Arm reach roughly 22 inches....if that is relevant.
Im really just gagging to bite the bullet now, its been too long.

I would look at the Boardman bikes as an alternative though.

Is there even a stockist in Scotland? Can't seem to find a list of Bikehuts....unless they really are that few.

You are roughly the same height and inside leg as myself, and I found the 2004 MALT1 to be too short. it was fun, upright, but not the best for all day XC riding. But that is just me. Merlin tend to play it safe and recommend frame sizes smaller than I would.
I have an email somewhere with full geometry listings that I will dig out. Will help you compare to other brands.
Of course, I would recommend a test ;-)

18.5 inches.
But they don't do that size anymore so I would say get the 19. 17 would be ok for that shorter position. Hard to say!
