Rockshox Recon SLite owners question

Ok I'm a beginner who has had a 10 year old Scott MTB recently replaced with a Specialized Rockhopper Expert Disc through the Cycle2Work scheme. My previous bike had basic shock forks with no adjustments but the new bike is fitted with Rockshox Recon SLite 100mm travel forks which are embarrassing me at the moment as I can't determine what type of fork they are. The Rockshox user manual covers about a dozen different shocks and it doesn't clearly tell me what type of forks they are.
They are fitted with a preload dial on the lefthand fork, a lockout dial on the righthand fork and a rebound knob underneath the righthand fork. But are they spring or air forks and do they need a pump to set the preload?
Having read the instructions I thought they were air preloaded forks but having unscrewed the lefthand dial as instructed I could not remove the dial or find a valve so I suspect they are spring preloaded.
I've checked the web site and that's as confusing as the instruction manual!
I feel a fool but really would like some advice from any other Recon SLite users.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I was doing some more investigating when I found these photos which show things clearly.

Why doesn't the Rockshox web site show these types of photos for each of the fork types?
Thanks

RS website should be better - but the SLite is a fork only supplied to Specialized. There are probably about 20 variants of recon!
Preload dial usually always means a coil. The lockout is the Turnkey system - rebound self explanotary!0
