Thule 530 bike carrier.

Hi,
We're thinking about getting a roof mounted bike carrier to carry two adult and 1 child's cycles on our Saab 95 estate. It already has bars running from the front to the rear of the car. We were thinking of getting the thule 530 system. Does anyone have any experience of using this system?

I have a similar (earlier) Thule system and it has been fine. The plastic wheel straps are still lasting after 4 or 5 years( i wondered if they would perish). The system is fine as long as your car is not too tall - my bikes are all steel or aluminium though, not sure if they are recommended for carbon frames. I have had 4 bikes on my car, just alternate the directions they face.We are born with the dead:
