I have never raced a MTB before, and am planning on increasing fitness enough to try one next year (also planning doing the South Downs Way from Winchester to Eastbourne next year).
Would the Pippingford Estate XC race be a good one to start off with - would go for the Open category - nothing too fast as not sure how I will cope.
