...The Escape Artist is gem of a book...a very moving account of obsession and dedication...Matt Seaton is well worth reading. I have got his collection called Two Wheels...

The Robert Millar biography was interesting and well written as was the Jaques Anquetil biography.

If you want a fantastic sports book then I would highly recommend "Feet in the Clouds" which is all about fell running from a southerners perspective. It is just a brilliant read. It goes through the fell running calendar month by month and intersperses (sp) the chapters with stories about local characters and fun stories.
Short hairy legged roadie FCN 4 or 5 in my baggies.

    Felt F55 - 2007
    Specialized Singlecross - 2008
    Marin Rift Zone - 1998
Peugeot Tourmalet - 1983 - taken more hits than Mohammed Ali

On Friday I was given a copy of French Revolutions by the mate I'm planning to cycle from London to Paris with in June. Although I've got two other books on the go I decided to have a quick read on the train home (back on the bike Monday - honest guv) and I can't put it down. A fab read. Great humour, lots of "me too" moments and because it assumes a basic understanding of the French language it's educational as I'm having to read it alongside my daughter's old French-English dictionary

Funnily enough it was this book that got me into cycle touring. I had a bike at the time but only for commuting (and I read the book at work during lunch). It was a case of "well, if he can do it..."
