E F Russ track frame - age? Info?
I've finally got around to collecting an E F Russ track frame from my dads garage. It's been there at least 25 years that I know of. It was given to him by a friend (died a long time ago) who used to ride it. Apart from that I know little about it. I haven't found much in the internet, but thought someone on here might know something about the brand, when it might have been made etc.
It's 531 butted tubes forks and stays. The colour was once gold, but now rather dull. Chromed half of rear stays, lower forks and crown. Frame number LE3197, underneath this it also has stamped 61degrees64degreesD222E38. Forks are number 3197. Horizontal dropouts (110mm) Eyelets (for mudguards?) front and rear, drilling for front brake only.
