It's like a circus. Mind you, he doesn't say he is, he just says he'd like too (I think)

He says he'd be competitive, but he was barely a contender by the time he retired, although he says he just couldn't get on inside CSC. Still, it's a good way to get the headlines, you just say "I might come back" and pronto, a free article about you. Just because he rides today with Basso, it doesn't mean he could hold the wheels come April or May.0

Would have thought he's too old, though I always did think he retired too soon. Was very polite when signing an autograph for me in Bakewell.
He was in the news last week as he's on the organising committee for Florence's bid for the 2013 Worlds.0 -
I know a lot of old pros find it hard to adjust, but surely his form was on the slide, during his last couple of seasons?
Not only would he struggle to compete, he'd struggle to find to team of suitable stature for his sizeable ego and sympathetic enough to carry his old legs, at the expense of a younger rider."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Good rider on his day (regardless of what he might have been up to). Wouldn't want him to come back and be rubbish.0

CFA nails "Sansone": http://cyclingfansanonymous.blogspot.co ... eback.html
Note the value of the payment mentioned at the end. Sounds like you can get a lot in return for that amount of money, we've been led to believe that that sum simply buys you "training plans".0
