Hi, I have pedals with clips, I know that's strange these days, but am happy with them. Most shoes and shoe reviews deal with shoes for clipless pedals.
Do any of you have a view on a suitable shoe for a 100 kg rider on a road bike?
Is there a happy medium for a shoe that can be used for either type of pedal?

If you want to use normal shoes & clipless, there are a couple of models with platforms and clipless. Checkout Shimano PD-M324 if you use platforms quite a bit, and PD-M424 if you use them not so much (got a set and little bit small and not grippy enough. For proper roadie shoes I'd consider SPD-SL, that means you can't really walk with them, if you need to do that I'd stick with standard SPD's, There are Shimano A530 which have a supported platform which provide more area rather than PDM540 which are primary MTB clipless pedals.
    Say... That's a nice bike..
