Soft Forks

I am 6' 3" and weigh around 195 - 200 lbs, I have a Stumpy Pro carbon and I think I have a problem with the setup of my riding. The front forks are pumped to around 195 lbs and feel quite good except when I want to lift the front wheel over roots or rocks, then when I stand up to put the extra effort in the forks feel really soft and compressing them is so easy, I don't really get any help to lift. Now there could be a couple of reasons for this, either, and this is the cause I am guessing is right, I am a pants rider and am doing this lofting thing all wrong or the forks are stuffed and I have to return them to the lbs I bought the bike from and insert them into the salesman to get his attention  ? Not averse to either  but would value your views on which course to take?

    What forks?

How much sag/rebound/compression are you running?
