Has anyone seen the little post heirachy names on the RAC forums? It seems you start off as a cyclist and end up as an F1 racer.

Noticed it here: http://www.rac.co.uk/web/forum/showthread.php?t=6218

I couldnt imagine anything more boring that driving around in F1 tbh. Each to their own I suppose.

    Seconded!

Thats probably what the average F1 fan thinks about cycling.

    I'm an average F1 fan

the sexual orientation of cycling or F1 is of no concern to me!

LOL I have no problem with F1 tbh. I just find it boring. This year I heard an F1 fan go on about the olympic cycling moaning that they just go around in circles for ages, that made me laugh

Also, I have calculated my FCN as 12...although I have no idea what that actually means.
  • IMO unless F1 changes it will become as relevant as NASCAR. It needs to be at the cutting edge of future vehicle technology, so I think it should move to become a non combustion engined formula. Maybe fuel cell powered or battery powered. Doing this should help drive development in these new technologies that will eventually filter down to mass market cars.

Next year braking energy's being stored to use for extra power out of corners via an electric motor. ;)

That's assuming the mechanics haven't been electrocuted and the pits haven't set on fire.

It's a pity Honda have pulled out as they are at the forefront of domestic car technology with their hydrogen fuel cell development programmes.

Car manufactures will have to develop these technologies with or without F1 as worldwide government policies enforce the change over time...albeit a long, drawn out timescale.

To me personally, F1 cars should be the quickest thing out there on a circuit that are impossible for mere mortals to drive and a requirement for kahoona's the size of Lancashire to commit to overtakes. (Yorkshire would be too big and impractical)

  • F1 cars are all very well but the turning circle is pants and there's nowhere to put my sarnies and a change of clothing! No good for commuting at all.

Yea...but what a rush! And what a way to go...in a massive ball of flames at the first hint of a corner...

    I'm joking obviously....

Did anyone see Kubica driving on the Italian roads amongst normal traffic...even he was giggiling like a child while being interviewed saying it how mad it was...got to love the Italians and their sense (or lack) of health and safety...
