Can you drink too much energy drinks? I seem to have got into a bit of a habit of drinking 2-3 500ml cans of Relentless or Monster Energy at work, as well as the odd bottle of Oasis and freebie glasses of Coke i get offered while delivering to pubs and clubs. I also use SIS Energy when i go out on a ride about 3 times a week after work, usually just in the SIS drinks bottle, but on longer rides up to 3ltrs. Is this excessive? I decided to cut it down a bit the other day just drinking water and felt like crap, so can you get addicted to the stuff?

I think you can get addicted to caffeine. I know that if you are a 'heavy user' and quit, you may withdraw.0

Somebody showed me an article about what it can do to you, it is evil stuff. You also build up a tolerance to it

Do you have a link to the artical, and what other harmfull effects can it cause? Is too much tourine dangerouse?
The thing is, i am out on the road between 6-9 hours a day, and quite often have an hours drive back from my last call, and without the go juice stuggle to keep my eyes open sometimes, and a couple of times have actually nodded off at the wheel only to be woken by the rumble strip  So i don't want to cut it out altogether. Alternatively can anyone recommend something else to help when i am feeling drowsy behind the wheel?0 -
Also think of all that sugar! Suagr can be 'addictive' too.

I think it was in the Sunday Times, not quite sure when? (Google it, must be plenty info out there).
Impotence was mentioned.. nuff said. Although I'm still drinking way too much Diet Coke, RedBull and coffee, dam that monkey..
Falling asleep at the wheel, sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen. Maybe try a health food type shop for a caffeine free alternative?*Rock Lobster Team Tig SL (22lb 14oz)
