Low stack stem

Hi, looks like my steerer is just too short to run safely so I'm going to get a new stem. My current Easton EA50 has a stack height of around 46mm and so I'm thinking anything around 40mm will be ok. Has anyone got suggestions for good quality XC stems with a stack height of 40mm or less? I've looked at the Thompson elite (40mm stack)but could be a bit pricey..

My Kooka Race is 40mm. I'll measure exact for you and get back.
Great value light weight stem for a good price.0 -
Truvativ Team is 38mm and with one bolt clamp.
Cheap and light.0 -
Truvativ Team is really nice, cheap too. But only comes for OS bars. I think most of the Zooms are low stack?Uncompromising extremist0

Probably should have mentioned that my bar is 25.4!The Maxlight: http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo17 ... CN1001.jpg0

For 25.4mm bars then Truvativ XR.
Bit weighty, 180g for 110mm, but cheaper.0 -
if you see one that's very short you can stick a spacer under it, they come in 2-5-10-20mm that leaves alot of possibilities. just can't bring myself to "upgrade" my cheap fsa one, it's light, strong, the right size and i like the look of it, though i did replace the bolts for black thomson ones after the chrome bolts went flakey and rusted.0
