Hi all, I have just bought a new PACE RC 506 frame and built it up. After the first wash the decals were peeling off under the hose.
The frame is the silver Anodised. I didnt use a power washer, just some fenwicks, soft bike brush and a garden hose.
The frame is only about 3 weeks old, and to be honest wasnt expecting this from a £1400 frame.
Have contacted Pace and they have said they will send me new decals, and also said this problem is common with the anodised frames.
My worry is that the new decals will do the same.
Has anyone on here had the same problems with the same frame?
Does anyone also know if you can get the logos laser etched on to the frame?

I think Pace means that because the decals are not painted, or lacquered over, they are more susceptible to peeling. My decals are not coming off my bare alu frame though.
Dunno about laser etching, wont be cheap!0 -
The frames getting stripped, and sent back for a refund, 3 rides and 3 washes, theres no decals left on the top tube. NOT impressed.
I could have bought a £50 apollo from halfords, ridden it to hell and back and the decals on that wouldnt budge.Niner Air 9 Rigid
