Now that's worth a "kill" ring on the barrel!
The photographic records of the German Federal Archives are on Wiki now, tens of thousands of photos from the 1820s onwards.

I've had a quick look and 1936-1938 when the Nazis were getting going has some interesting pictures....One that stands out is a photo of a display on how to recognise a jewish person....Sick stuff when you realise what that display lead to.17 Stone down to 12.5 now raring to get back on the bike!0
