riders in preston

hi ive just got back into biking after a few years, does anyone from preston go on rides? and are there any good trails around preston?

    I'm in Lytham... not far from preston, when i'm not at uni tho.

    what riding you looking for? the lakes isn't far, and has pretty much everything you could want :)

    Not really. You need to head East. Theres a few around Ribchester/Longridge/Hurst Green area, then you've got Gisburn Forest and Rivington. There's also some interesting stuff around the Trough of Bowland and Dunsop Bridge.

    But to get the really good riding in Lancashire, you've got to head for the Lancs/West Yorks boundary in the Burnley/Todmorden/Walsden/Hebden Bridge area.

    Of course as BigBenj says you're only an hour's drive form the South Lakes, and the Dales, North Wales and the Peak isn't that far away either.
