Tim de Waele's Sastre photo
I liked the photo, but for some reason, it felt more striking when I turned it upside down and had the shadows be the main part of the photo. I don't know if BR or Tim are much into photoshopping images, but here's my very rough attempt... (click on the image for a bigger version)

It's a shame the guy with the flag throws such an oddly shaped shadow. The Photoshopped image of him makes the picture look a bit weird... the other shadows are much more natural. Good effort though.0

Very good. Dead arty, the shadows give the impression of sitting above the road surface.0

Nice! I think the fact that the guy with a flag looks like a lion adds an other-worldy feel to the whole thing. Reminds me of religious paintings where you see men chased by devils and that kind of thing (just a shame the devil didn't make an appearance in this one!).
Blatent thread hi-jack, but here are a few photoshopped pics of my own from the same day: http://www.flickr.com/photos/oujmik/276 ... otostream/

LOL, yeah he's become an institution. Although, the fact that he now wears advertisements lowers his place in the odd-procycling history. His best moment waswhen his pitch fork was stolen by one of the pros and used to poke another in the butt!0 -

you should sell your french flag black and white one to any news stories about doping or how the tour is dying like they do every year0 -
Good stuff - and I love the lion/flag guy - looks like something out of a medieval festival and gives the whole thing a timeless quality.
Really clever to see what was possible with the original, too0 -

thanks, glad you like it.
It would be cool if someone in France would paint something like that on the road during the TDF. It would throw everyone's perspective off with the "shadows" on the ground. LOL.0
