Fox suspension Q

Hi

I have a Fox Septune rear shock on my stumpy frame - I've never had one of these before and not sure if it's right - the dial turns all the way round, should it stop at a point, as I thought logically that when at the end of adjustment it would stop - as far hard or soft as you can go - or should it go all the way round and the position sets the firmness?

I have the same issue with my Fox 32 forks?!

Am I making any sense?
Thanks in advance!

Which dial are you taking about? The rebound damping ?

    rear shock - propedal lever?
    forks- lockout lever?

    post some piccies
  • rear - propedal lever - should it rotate all way round or stop at a max / min point?
fork - no lockout lever on there - should the dial rotate all way round or stop at a max / min point?

    Thanks

Forks - rebound dial, it should stop at min and max point. Otherwise how do you know when its at min or max.

Shock - same as foks - rebound dial should stop and min/max, not sure if the propedal lever rotates 360 or starts stops at postion 1 and 7. is there any differance in the settings from 1-7? (ie setting 1=plush then rotate to 7=firm rotate clockwise to 1 again, does it go back to plush?)

Propedal lever on my Fox Triad shock goes round and round. No max or min, if you push it the right way you can go from no Pro-pedal to locked out (only 3 settings on the Triad).

The shock has 7 positions (obv!) with a dead zone seperating the min and max. I.e. there is no stop at either limit. The dead zone, when the lever is at the 6 o'clock position, is when the pro pedal is off.

This doesn't happen on my forks (2005 models) as there is a limit in either direction.

    Hope I've been of use.
