Taking Gym Kit + Work Gear to Work

Hi Guys
An MTB imposter here that's started doing 2 or 3 days commuting...
Ive been using my cobbled together hydration pack, which is a knackered Karrimor Airspace 25 from Sport n soccer. It's nowhere near 25 litres, though.
It's fine to get my shirt and trousers in, but my problem is that work now has a gym.
Anyone got any advice on a rucksack or messenger bag that could take a gymkit inc. reasonable sized towel, plus a workshirt, shoes (gym and smart - the biggest problem) and smart trousers.
I don't really want to end up with somne sort of mountaineering pack, and I can't use panniers (no fixing points on the mtb)
An alternative is a larger Camelbak type that I could use to replace my weekend warrior pack, too.
Cheers

can you leave stuff at work? Like trainers, towel etc? alternatively, take stuff like spare shirts and duds in on the days you're not commuting...0

We have good facilities there ie lockers and showers but are not allowed to leave stuff like that there - i work in a college and lockers left locked are now considered a bomb threat :roll:0

I use a Berghaus Freeflow 20
I manage to get a packed lunch, shower kit , work clothes (and can just fit waterproofs in) the main section, and spare tube, wallet, tyre levers etc in the other section, with the side pockets free (one holds my pump). It is compatable with hydration systems, but I haven't used them (are *they* worthwhile?).
My background is somewhere midway between fellrunning amd hillwalking.
It is tight, but might be worth considering.
I do keep spare shoes at work though.0 -
i use this great folder thing from Eagle Creekto fold my shirts. It says it holds 7 but I don't tend to put more than 3 or 4 in at a go. I put it in a decent carrier bag to waterproof it and then into a 25 ltr backpack
I leave suit, ties, shoes etc and some toiletries in work and bring fresh shirts and kacks in every 3-4 days
On the other days I don't carry a bag at all.
I have a seat pack under my seat with tubes, tools and a pump hanging off it
