Just thought I'd pop on here and say "good evening". I am completely new to the cycling scene (this will be my 6th week cycling into work), but have learnt many a tip and had a great giggle on this forum (especially some of the rants!!!).

Nothing special - a Felt QX80 - I do 18.23 miles a day (god bless the Garmin Forerunner 405!!!). I also take my daughter to and from nursery on the bike for the first mile of the journey. My cycle blog at www.biking2work.co.uk and check out www.fightbaddriving.co.uk.0 -

I cycle down to Manchester City Centre from Hyde and Visa Versa... There are some idiots on the road, but thankfully no scalpages yet!
Although, I did overtake a cyclist today (there is a first time for everything).. It was pitch black and he had no lights on, so I wanted to get away as soon as possible, and the t****r spat at me!
As for starting at this time of year, I figured that If I could do it now and stick to it, I could do it any time of year!!! I've lost a stone already and feel a lot fitter for it!!!My cycle blog at www.biking2work.co.uk and check out www.fightbaddriving.co.uk.0
