  • Contrary to popular belief, the results in Harry's original message are not correct, and the BBC now thinks there may have been telephone voting anomalies which are sure to cause controversy later on. I have therefore corrected the original posting;

    Yeah but remember the cycling vote was split between 4-

    Do you want say an extrsa 70,000 of hoy's voters to vote for Romero and 70,000 to vote for Wiggins, reducing his votes and letting Hamilton win?

    Now I find this odd - a program on telly last week seemed to suggest that Hamilton was going to get it, followed by "the swimmer" being second. How wrong they were. :twisted:

    I didnt vote though, no phone credit and forgot about it anyway. :oops:

    Thats because they didn't factor in such a relatively small vote needed to win.
    Everyone assumed Hamilton would win.But think about it.There are THOUSANDS of cyclists out there,& certainly,Cycling Weekly have done a good job focusing peoples mindes to the fact that a vote for any other bikie than CH,is a vote wasted.
    3 votes from our house....job done 8)
    so many cols,so little time!

    Good point. Actually I thought the split among 4 cyclists would have had something like that effect, but I'm glad it didn't.

    the fact that there were 4 cyclists actually helped as they were able to to take turns at the front and slipstream each other, before Hoy raced away with it.

    Team sprint with Hoy, Cooke, Romero and Wiggins - that would be fun :)
