Warm Waterproof Gloves
Ok probably been asked a million times before but I need some good quality warm waterproof gloves.
Was out yesterday with the Assos glove system on and have to say they are rubbish in the wet. It was pretty cold yesterday too especially when the gloves got wet. Would have been better off without any gloves on at all and my hands are still numb today.
So what are the best gloves to have at the moment
Cheers

okay so i have some flourescent seal skins from chain reaction and they are great, fully waterproof, excellent colour for being seen when signaling etc and they're not bulky! easy to use with STI's.
i dont think these gloves are 'the' gloves in the pro peloton for example but for anything else thery're very good!
HenryCarbon fibre, it's all nonsense. Drink beer. Ride a steel bike. Don't be a ponce.0 -
the Assos glove system isn't waterproof. Specialized do a 'waterproof' glove (note the term waterproof) that has welded seams.M.Rushton0

No the Assos glove system isn't waterproof and doesn't profess to be either. Don't automatically think the more you pay for kit that the more features you get.
Same goes for Sealskinz gloves, they are not imo waterproof!0 -

Pearl Izumi Amfib Lobster gloves - brilliant!0

Gore Countdowns are what I wear when it's wet. If anything my hands end up too hot (due to the gore-tex liner). They're about £45 a pair.0

agreed. I had to stop and empty mine a few weeks back! Now wether thats water getting in through the cuff area who knows?0 -
Sealskinz are 100% waterproof, until they fail (excluding the issue of water getting in at the cuff - wear under your waterproof jacket). Mine leaked after 3 years, sent them back to Sealskinz, a new pair arrived free of charge within the week. If yours let in water, send them back. Something sold as waterproof should be waterproof.
(Don't dry them on the radiator - I think that is how I killed mine).0 -
Wore my new Sealskins this morning and they didn't leak a bit. Mind you, it wasn't wet.
But seriously, if you are anywhere near a Go Outdoors they have 'em for £13 at the mo - which is why I got them. At that price figured it won't be the end of the world if they don't come up to scratch.0
