I'm intending on buying a Specialized Roubaix Comp in March next year, just in time for the Cheshire Cat. My only problem? I don't want those Shimano RS-10 wheels.

Is there anywhere that will swap them out for better wheels without it costing the earth or am I going to have to pay for an extra set of wheels?

And I wouldnt do anything just in time for the Cheshire Cat. Do it as early as you can -
    that way

    - theres no worries about getting the bike in time.

-You've been able to bed the bike down and make sure it all works properly.

-You're happy that your position is good.

I wouldnt fancy doing that distance on a bike that I wasnt used to.
  • What's the problem with the wheels? the RS-10's aren't bottom of the range and shimano wheels are very good, i would do the cheshire cat and then if you still want to swap em out, otherwise talk to your lbs mine buys stuff off your new bike and takes that off upgrades
Carbon fibre, it's all nonsense. Drink beer. Ride a steel bike. Don't be a ponce.

Yep any decent LBS should spec the frame as you want - gruppo, wheels, bar/stem etc etc, especially if you're chucking them the best part of £1500.

The RS20s are much better wheels. I would advise anyone who buys a complete bike that comes with 10s to replace straight away.
