Halo Freedom wheels, whats the smallest size tyres I can fit

Last week I was pushed off the road by a car and went into a pothole which has dented both rims on my Langster (commuter bike). The rear rim has a 1inch split and I'm worried about using the bike. I'm thinking that I'm going to dropbar my 29er MTB and use that to commute on.
The question: I have 2" tyres on the 29er and wondered if my new 25c tyres would fit okay on the Halo wheels I have on my 29er? Does anyone know?
