hi looking to upgrade, trying to get a handle on whats what I like rockshoxs forks but the differance in prices on the net is mind boggling,I dont have a very exspensive bike, but i dont want to change it as Its good enough for what i do but I want new forks.
I like the tora but I cant work out all the tech info and do not know if i need the more dearer ones.
Is there a massive diff between say dart 3 and tora.
My bike is a marin bolinas ridge and i do mixed cyclingoff road and some road
Help

The Tora is a lot better than the Dart - stiffer, stronger and lighter.
The Tora SL would be perfect for that bike, absolute bargain here

For a bit more you can get last year's Tora 318. It is lighter as it is an air fork, has a better damping system and comes with a handlebar lockout

I went from an XCR 120- very similiar to a Dart 3- to a Tora SL 130mm, and what a difference... It's a bit heavy- actually heavier than the coil Suntour, which surprised me- but it just works miles better, very confidence inspiring. And it was dirt cheap too. Still kind of tempted to chop it in against something better, or rather lighter, I'm yet to have any real issues with the fork's performance.Uncompromising extremist0

I'd be looking at last years tora 318 air, very nice fork, and shouldn't be too many pennies!0
