Anyone use Sigma Cycles over at Kingston upon-thames? If so, what do you think??

Having spent £4500 on a De Rosa with them, then being told to get lost when I had a warranty issue with the wheels I speced with the bike.
My advice is don't!
Take a look at the customer service page on their website. It basically says that if 30 days have elapsed since the date of purchase it will be dealt with at their discretion. Don't beleive it, what they will do is pass the problem back to their supplier which will take months. Avoid!0 -
I have used them in the past but recently their customer service has become shocking, like Lysander said they do like to fob you off. A friend of mine had a problem with a Mavic wheel and instead of Sigma sorting it out as they are obliged to do they fobbed him off with some cobblers about Mavics warranty/returns policy. I've found cheaper places with much better customer service and as good a range. To be honest I'd go somewhere else.'Hello to Jason Isaacs'0

Great place to go and dribble (lots of nice kit plus a good range of Seven bikes in there at the moment), but I'm not sure I'd be too keen to buy a complete bike from them0

I would agree with all your comments. I bought a bike from them also. To be honest, when you walk through the door, they can just about look at you. If your not spending £7000 on a Pinarello Prince, forget it, they don't appear interested! In fact, they are just up themselves! Perhaps Kingston Upon-Thames has a lot of money and high spenders, but they most certainly don't greet you with genuine customer service!0

It's odd, I've been using Sigma regularly for the last 10 years and have never had any problems with them and will continue to use them.
The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful in my experience.
It's strange how the rise of the internet has led to so many people being prepared to express their opinions so readily. Go and have a look at one of the pub review sites like beeringtheevening.com and you'll be amazed that any pub stays in business given the user comments.
My advice would be to visit Sigma and see for yourself. They've been successful for a long, long time so they must be doing something right.0 -

If we keep slagging off independent bike shops we'll soon just be left with chains like Evans where the staff appear to care little about their work and the range of choice becomes ever more limited.0 -
Well the proof is in the pudding and judging by the above comments, I don't think much of the pudding! They just come across as if they are doing you a favour actually selling a bike to you!0

You can only speak as you find. Shops live and die by customer service! Hence thats why people use forums, funny that!
I'm not slagging, I'm just stating fact and it wouls appear others have had the same experience!0 -

Nicensleazy - you don't expressley state what problem you've had with them in relation to the bike you bought from them. What was it?
I don't use any LBS or website exclusively, but I've used them for nearly four years and was in there again yesterday. On the friendliness point, they've never minded me taking a pram through the shop, and the chap who served me yesterday was quite happy trying to amuse my disgruntled 1.5 yr old - and I was only buying brake blocks. I've not bought a bike from them, but I've had good service in relation to the the bits and bobs I've needed them for.FCN 2-4.

"It stays down, Daddy."
"Exactly."0 -
i bought my S-Works roubaix frame from them early this year - they were helpful enough on the phone and the frame turned up the next day as they said it would - a simple transaction and no problem.0
