My home contents insurance is up for renewal so I shopped around on a comparison website. I have been looking to insure my bikes and specified all of them to see how much it would be (I have been quoted £300+ from a cycle insurance company). My renewal quote excluding bikes was £349. The AA quoted £241 with up to £4500 of bikes, I called them a they dropped the quote to £219 the bikes are covered but not for accidental damage. Shielas Wheels came up next at £314, I have given them a call and they say that the bikes are covered for accidental damage if I specified them but not for public liability. I can get this from ctc for £54 (family) which would mean that renew my policy and cover the bikes and PL for a couple of pounds more than my renewal. It seams to good, does anyone have any experiance of Shielas Wheels?

Cheers

Just a quick update, I have phoned them again and they have confirmed that accidental damage is covered plus they do not require any specific locks???? Even better, I went on their website for a quote and exactly the same cover came out at £291. Will proberly go with that then.
